Sihwaho Lake ( 형도 )

Sihwaho Lake is now considered a precious ecological environmental zone consisting of beautiful wetlands and reed fields. In 2009, the Eurasian Eagle-owl, a natural monument, which hadn’t been seen for a few years, came back to the lake. At present, Korea’s first and the world’s largest tidal power plant is under construction in the area, and the Ansan-si Government is striving to establish the lake as a clean ecological tourist attraction.
It is an island that is called ‘Balance island’ because it is an island where fishermen know how much sea water has come in.
It is famous for its unique and extraordinary scenery and atmosphere also called the Serengeti plains of Korea and is a place to be photographed for various TV programs.
K-pop boy group BTS’s ‘Sping Day’ music video and Korean TV drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ was filmed in this location too.
