  • Korea Furniture Museum is an architecture and traditional furniture museum which is located in Seongbuk-dong. This museum was built as a personal project of a former Yonsei University professor, Chyung Mi-sook who amassed 2000 pieces of Joseon Dynasty furniture over the past five decades. She wanted to create a beautiful space where people can truly experience how Korean actually used to live embracing nature, philosophy, humanity, a beauty of Korea. So, The structure of the hanok and design of exquisite traditional furniture are well preserved in this museum. To keep the beauty of this museum, it is allowed to visit this museum as a very small number of visitors each day, with an advanced reservation. Nevertheless, this Korea Furniture Museum has been beloved as the most suitable place to look around Korean traditional lifestyle and beauty.  Ambassadors, curators from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and First Ladies who traveled to Korea for the G20 summit have visited this museum.
