  • If you head down to CIty Hall’s basement, you will find Citizens’ Hall which is located on the first and second basement level of the Seoul City Hall. The Citizens’ Hall was built for the people as a space dedicated to listening to the voices of the people with Speakers Corner and Media Wall where locals can express their views.

    This Citizens’ Hall was made not only for communication between Seoul City Hall and Seoul citizens but also for entertainment space for Seoul citizens. It serves as a multi-purpose space by hosting a multitude of citizen-oriented events, activities and by hosting multimedia art exhibitions, design shops, and fair-trade cafe.

    The Citizens’ Hall, Moreover, kept its historical remains as running Gungisi Relics Exhibition Hall, an archaeological site displaying items dating from the Joseon dynasty unearthed during excavation of the complex. The items which including arrowheads and various firearms will help you imagine the past of Seoul.
